Healthcare Development
Our behavioral health focus is on providing residential services for pediatric populations. We currently operate a 39 bed residential facility near Columbia, SC and a 48-bed facility in Myrtle Beach, SC for autistic children. We provide therapeutic, vocational, and educational services at both facilities. Both facilities are state-licensed and CARF accredited.
In South Carolina, as well as across the nation, the need for residential treatment beds for autistic pediatric populations far outstrips the availability. We are actively exploring expanding our residential treatment services both in SC and into other geographical regions.
In order to best meet the needs of patients and families, we are focusing our expansion to the treatment of autistic children and their families. There are many states where no residential treatment exists to treat this patient population, necessitating out-of-state placement for needed services. Our current efforts are focused on identifying appropriate regions for new residential treatment facilities, as well as providing placement for patients who are from states outside of our current footprint.
We are also exploring expanding the scope of our services to provide for a more vertically integrated delivery model. As such, we are actively pursuing opportunities to provide outpatient ASD services. This transition will provide coordinated access to more therapeutic options for children suffering from moderate to severe autism and additional support for their families.
